IS THERE A DIGITAL VERSION AVAILABLE?

No.
And the reason is simple, but probably a little old fashioned. Yokel is meant to be enjoyed in it’s print form. When the same material is presented in a digital format, something gets lost. It feels more…flat.

Plus, we’re kind of living in a dystopian nightmare hellscape right now and I absolutely won’t be sharing the hard work of others to train AI.

DO YOUR CONTRIBUTORS GET PAID?

At the present time, compensation is offered to contributors in the form of a free copy if the issue they appear in. If this project continues to grow, we would love to get to the point of being able to pay our contributors. The end goal is to support our local creative community in whatever way we can.

HOW OFTEN DO YOUR ISSUES COME OUT? CAN I SUBSCRIBE?

We’re taking it one issue at a time right now. As long as there are enough creatives who want to share their work and enough magazines sold to cover the cost of printing, we’ll keep putting out issues! We would love to make this a quarterly magazine and offer subscriptions, but we’re not quite there yet.

I’M NOT A FINE ARTIST OR WRITER. CAN I STILL SUBMIT?

YES! We want your non-traditional work! Yokel is a place to be weird, nonconventional, and authentic. We’re looking for creative expression in all forms!

CAN I ADVERTISE IN YOKEL?
