5 Questions with Tom
I have been writing album reviews for the last 9 years, which tells you how much I love music. I am also a musician, a father, and run the North Country Talent Show here in Lowville. I want to make people feel what I feel when it comes to supporting the incredible amount of talent that lies within our community, because it's extremely important that our artists know how appropriated they are.
1. What’s a mundane task you take way too seriously?
The most mundane activity humans partake in is the daily routine of getting up and going to work. I take my job more seriously than I should, which is definitely a double edged sword depending upon the situation.
2. What’s the strangest compliment anyone has ever given you?
The strangest compliment that I've ever gotten was that my apartment was incredibly clean for a single guy. I find it odd to live in a dirty or clutter filled home, so this one struck me as odd.
3. What trend (past or present) do you wish would come back?
I don't know about this one. Trends change with the times, a fact that I feel is important. I guess my answer would have to be none, I enjoy seeing the new trends take the place of the old ones. Except for 6/7, that one can go the way of the dodo bird.
4. What everyday object deserves more appreciation?
It may not be an everyday object to anyone but me, but I'm gonna choose my bass guitar. As one of my main coping mechanisms, and a source of great enjoyment, it deserves more of my appreciation, as well as deserving more of my attention.
5.Which album would soundtrack your life right now?
Oh this is a hard one! As a music critic, I regularly hear many great albums, so I'll go with the one that I keep coming back to time and time again; Yungblud's newest album, Idols Pt. 1. The music and lyrics on it helped me through a lot this past year, and Yungblud is an extremely talented young man.
